Bandol Wine Walk

If you are in Provence next weekend and are interested in trying good wines with gourmet food, don’t miss the wine walk in Bandol! We have participated several times and it can be highly recommended.

You will walk a few kilometers through beautiful wine fields where small clusters of grapes have already formed on the vines and along the walk there are stations where you can try the wines of the appellation together with snacks prepared by the local chefs and then at the end cheeses of course. Wines in all three colors are available to try and there are so many wine producers and wines that you will struggle if you want to try them all!

Les Escapades des Vins de Bandol – Friday 6 and Sunday 8 June

The walk is now being organised for the 14th time and this year is hosted by Domaine de Frégate near Saint- Cyr -Sur-Mer. During an easy walk in the wine fields of around 5 kilometres, you will meet the winegrowers, enjoy gastronomic dishes and taste Bandol’s slightly stronger wines, both white, red and of course rosé.

You are offered five gastronomic stops where three or four winegrowers are present at each of them. As befits in France, the five stops are: first appetizer then entrée, main course, cheese and finally dessert and you can look forward to, if you have the energy, trying about thirty Bandol wines ! A total of 21 winegrowers are participating and you can see the gourmet food below.
